Morfologia
P 37, P 15, P 17 and P 53 quickly lead to the level -147 m. In P 53, to avoid the lake obstructing the bottom of the shaft, at -45 you must pendulum to the right, rig a ledge of about ten m and then descend 8 metres to reach the short gallery that follows.
At its lowest point, after 2 narrower steps and a P 14, a short meander opens out at the top of the large 140-metre vertical drop, broken into P 22, P 94 and P 23. The joint fissure joins an important tributary at the level of the following P 12.
Idrologia
30 metres downstream, the stream, after descending 2 steps of 6 and 5 metres, plunges into a flat-out squeeze and then a final choked step at the level -350 (new level after the digging carried out in 2007 and 2008)[ref]CDS 12, Fiche et topographie de la cavité : http://cds12.org/topos/AvenDeBanicous.pdf[/ref].
