There is a great profusion of abrigos rocosos (rock shelters) along the Echauri/Etxauri pass, which played an important role in remote times: in many of them there are traces of cave paintings and remains of pottery and tools.
Storia
On 01/04/1962 the Institución Príncipe de Viana registered the site. In the field of archaeology, flint was documented; in that of palaeontology, human remains.
